Careers at JiVA Mental Health

Be part of a practice that puts culture first.

JiVA is hiring California-registered associate therapists to provide culturally responsive mental health care for South Asian clients across California.

Why JiVA

Clinical work that understands culture and context.

Our clients should not have to explain the basics of their identity, family, faith, language, or community before therapy can begin.

01

Culture belongs in the clinical picture

Identity, family systems, migration, faith, language, and intergenerational experiences all shape mental health and treatment.

02

Grow as a clinician

Build stronger skills in assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and clinical decision-making with support and feedback.

03

Help expand access

Provide therapy while supporting JiVA’s work to reduce stigma and make culturally responsive care more accessible.

The impact of the work

Serving the communities that shaped us carries a different kind of responsibility.

It means offering care that recognizes what often goes unspoken and helping clients feel understood without having to translate their lives first.

For an associate therapist, every session is a chance to make culturally responsive care more available and to help someone feel less alone in what they are carrying.

“There was an unspoken understanding in the room that made me feel seen, safe, and comfortable sharing my experience.”Saagar Shaikh, JiVA event speaker
